Gabriela Meza has been dancing for over 15 years. Her journey began in competitive dance on a Latin dance team between the years of 2008-2010. Her role as a choreographer in her final year of competing took a quick pause as she turned her focus to her university career in Child and Youth Care for 4 years. Quickly after graduating, she made the decision to follow her dreams as a professional dancer and began her professional training and performance within the industry in Toronto. With styles such as hip hop, jazz funk, heels and Latin under her belt she was inspired to take her career to the next level by pushing for a style that was very uncommon within the city at the time—reggaeton. This style combined her overall training with her Latin roots and heritage and together created her ultimate passion which is to teach. Gabriela has been teaching reggaeton for 6 years and strives to emphasize the history and culture in the music and dance in her classes.
