Christie Amelia began dancing in high school as a K-pop enthusiast, initially learning through cover choreography of her favorite K-pop songs. Her passion deepened after moving to South Korea following university, where she trained for 4 years at prestigious academies including Soul Dance, 1Million Dance Academy, and Just Jerk Dance Academy under numerous skilled instructors. During her time abroad, she competed as a finalist in the K-pop Cover Dance Festival Competition as a soloist and attended international workshops like EN Dance and Summer Jam. She has since returned to Toronto and currently teaches at multiple studios, including DanceLifeX.
